ALEXANDRIA LEE

Alexandria Lee is an Australian-based artist who has harnessed the power of words as a medium to add depth and texture to what would traditionally be considered "pop" art.

Born in Singapore and raised in Perth, Western Australia, Lee studied graphic design and architecture at the University of Western Australia before working as a tattoo artist. However, she eventually turned her focus to art full-time in mid-2019, and her work has since gained recognition from both the art world and popular culture.

Lee's art takes equal influence from time-intensive Eastern traditions and Western pop culture. Her detailed, labor-intensive pieces bring depth to otherwise surface-level conversations about celebrity, objects, structures, expression, and environments. Despite not finding fame through the traditional gallery route, Lee has gained a large following on TikTok and Instagram, and her internet-stopping work has caught the attention of reputable brands such as Nickelodeon, Squarespace, Puma, Universal Music Australia, Bleacher Report, ESPN, Foot Locker, and the Golden State Warriors, where she has collaborated on multiple projects.

Despite being fast-tracked to success, Lee's career is just getting started. She plans to take her work global in 2023, with selected print sales, product drops, artistic collaborations, and a debut solo exhibition. Lee is a unique voice in the art world, challenging the traditional notion of what it means to be a successful artist. With her dedication to her craft and her willingness to break the mold, Alexandria Lee is poised to become a leading female influence in the art world.
